Euro Disney, here I come! Amy and I are heading to Paris in April, and I couldn’t be more excited. Baguettes, brie, and Beaujolais in sidewalk cafes… mischief in Latin Quarter alleyways… touristy clichés like the Eiffel Tower and Jim Morrison’s grave. Woo-hoo!

We’ll be staying in the Latin Quarter at the Hôtel de France Quartier Latin, a cute little two-star with a balcony and a view of… well, I have no idea and I’m just hoping it’s of something better than a dumpster filled with rats. Anyway, I’m always looking for cool travel tips from fellow adventures, so bring them on!

Have fun in the City of Light. I was there in Nov. of 2000, a while ago I guess, but it was fun. We were at a tradeshow for a week but had plenty of time for exploring. I spent one day just walking around sidestreets off the Champs Elys

My favorite experience in Paris: walking around with Michelle late at night as she patiently tried to help me find vegetarian food. While browsing the menu posted outside one restaurant, the proprietor comes out and implores us to come sit down. I manage to explain my dietary restriction and he offers the encouragement that they have “lettuce” and we should come in. While looking over the menu I confirm there is nothing I can eat and before we leave, I offer a casual and absent-minded apology and tell them “gracias” as we head out the door. I didn’t realize I said it but Michelle laughed and clued me in.
