While driving to lunch today, I was reviewing my Spanish with a disc from the library. I have to say I pretty much lost it when the voice said, “Luisa esta constipada.” What?! How is that essential basic Spanish? And why don’t they teach this word in junior high?
Turns out, that means that Luisa has a cold. How does that word make such meaningful jump from one language to the next? Anyway, I guess you could say I felt pretty embarazada.
